Environmental Evaluation Document (DELH)

The Environmental Evaluation Document (DELH) is prepared to assess the environmental impacts of a proposed activity or project that does not require a full Environmental Impact Assessment (AMDAL). DELH serves to identify potential environmental impacts and outline mitigation measures needed to minimize any negative effects.

Purpose of DELH

  • Identify Environmental Impacts
Assess both the positive and negative effects of a project on the environment.

  • Develop Environmental Management Plans
Create strategies to reduce or avoid identified negative environmental impacts.

  • Support Decision-Making
Provide essential information to authorities for making informed decisions on environmental permits.

DELH Submission Process

  • Document Preparation
The project owner or an environmental consultant prepares the DELH document based on the applicable guidelines.

  • Public Consultation
Engage with the public and relevant stakeholders to gather feedback and responses regarding the proposed project.

  • Submission to Relevant Authority
Submit the DELH document to the authorized government body, such as the Environmental Office (Dinas Lingkungan Hidup).

  • Document Evaluation
The authority reviews the DELH to ensure all environmental aspects have been considered appropriately.

  • Issuance of Decision Letter
If the document is approved, a formal decision is issued allowing the project to proceed under certain conditions.

Requirements for DELH Submission

  • Project Description
Complete information about the proposed activity or project, including location, scale, and type of activity.

  • Impact Identification
Analysis of potential environmental impacts associated with the project.

  • Mitigation Plan
Action plans to minimize or manage the identified negative impacts.

  • Supporting Documentation
Relevant documents such as location maps, environmental data, and records of public consultation.
